Traore's double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

20-year old MLI-ESAn Ibrahima Traore (208-C/F-2005) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Salvadorenos BC and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Santiagueno (#7, 1-3) 79-69. It allowed Salvadorenos to take over top position in the Salvadorean Liga MB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Salvadorenos already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Traore just recently signed at Salvadorenos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Utah graduate has very impressive stats this year. Traore is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 13.3rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Marc Montavious (202-C-1990) of A.Lobos BKB. He is naturalized American center in his first season at A.Lobos. In the last game Montavious recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. Of course A.Lobos cruised to a 79-68 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Santa Tecla (#4, 4-2). A.Lobos' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Montavious is one of the most experienced players at A.Lobos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Baltazar Castellon (185-G-1993) of Santiagueno BC (#7). Castellon showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Castellon's great performance the Santiagueno lost 69-79 to the league's current leader Salvadorenos (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Santiagueno can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Castellon has a very solid season. In 4 games in El Salvador he scored 10.8ppg.
